Once you are comfortable with your skills climbing and belaying on Top-Rope, it's time to move to the next level:
LEAD CLIMBING AND LEAD BELAYING
Our 2 Hour Lead Climbing Class is designed for those that are ready to push themselves with the climbing rope below them instead of above them! This is an advanced climbing skill and we do have basic prerequisites before enrollment:
Age 13 years old or older
Passed a Top-Rope Belay Assessment prior to enrollment
Enrollment with current climbing partner, or just the Lead Climbing Portion will be taught for class time. A second class will have to be taken for the Lead Belay instruction.
We recommend bringing your own climbing equipment such as harness, belay device and dynamic rope- this will only help you to improve your skills on the gear that you will be using in the gym or at the crag!

ANCHOR CLINICS
Learn the basic tools and techniques used to build safe and solid climbing anchors. This clinic will start with a look through the climber’s toolbox, comparing and contrasting available equipment and techniques. The program will also include a thorough examination of simple anchors, with special attention paid to bolts and other fixed gear. Each of these topics will build into a discussion and demonstration of complex, multi-point climbing anchors. No previous anchor-building experience is required. Printed instructional materials will be provided.
